The most famous beaches of the island of Santorini Greece are Perissa, Kamari, Monolithos and the Red beach. The beaches of Kamari, Perissa and Monilithos have black sand and deep blue waters. They are situated on the east side of the island and are located in the touristic areas of the island. The areas offer lots of hotels and rooms, taverns, café, bars and beach-bars. The Red Beach, near Akrotiri, is the most famous beach of the island. It is located in a quitter area but also attracts much people.
Perissa:
Perissa is a very touristic village with a long and comfortable black sandy beach.
Location: 15 km south-east of Fira.

Kamari:
Situated on the exact opposite side of Perissa, is the beach of Kamari with the enormous rock (Mesa Vouno) in the middle.
Location: 10 km south-east of Fira.

Red beach:
One of the most famous and beautiful Santorini beaches, composed of black and red volcanic rocks.
Location: 8 km south west from Fira.
Description: Nearest village: Akrotiri
Monolithos:
It is in the area of the airport. Aless crowded beach with a few hotels and rooms, restaurants and cafés.
Location: 10 km south-east of Fira, next to Kamari
